Apps age quickly. A version that worked well a few months ago can start to stutter, show old screens or fail to sign in. The good news is that fixing it is usually quick. Signs the app needs a refresh
The common signs are a blank white screen at launch, buttons that do nothing, games that never finish loading and a login that fails even though your details are right. A message that a new version exists is the clearest sign of all.

How to update safely

Only clear storage or data if you are ready to sign in again, because that does reset the saved login on your phone.
If updates keep failing
Free some storage, switch to Wi-Fi, and try at a quieter time of day. If the update still refuses, uninstall and reinstall. In the worst case, the mobile website gives you the same lobby without any app.
